I currently live in The Lexington Apartment, and I regret the decision to do so. The first week I moved in with the new management my AC did not work for 3 days. I called the emergency number, it was disconnected, as it has happened twice since then as well. This happened saturday in early sept. On monday they said they would fix it, they did not finally tuesday it was fixed. It was not at all clean when I moved in. I waited 3 weeks before they cleaned it all the way. Each time I went in or called the manager she said, "Oh the cleaning lady was there today." After several heated discussions and the manager lying and saying that the cleaning woman had come, I finally lost my temper and yelled at the office manager. She said "She's in your apartment right now cleaning." I told her "Do not insult my intelligence, I just came from the apartment and no one is in there." A few days later it was cleaned after threatening legal action as I work with an attorneys office locally. My dishwasher fell ontop of me, my banister came unattached and I almost fell during the first 2 weeks. When I first went to view the apartment the 2nd story bedroom was opened like a loft, and that's how I was supposed to get it. However, upon moving in they had put a cheap piece of disgusting piece of plywood to close in the open upstairs!!! I had exposed electrical wiring and an open wall that had not been painted. I waited two months for this to get fixed. Every time I went down to tell them about this problem she said it will take a while finally near the end of the second month she told me that it was fixed and had been for a month. Of course this infuriated me all the more and I told her that I look at the wall everyday and it was not fixed. She remembered me from my previous rantings and sent someone to double check that it had not been finished, and they were amazed it was still under construction! Wow just bc a piece of paper says something was finished does not mean it's accurate! Also I requested a non smoking apt...my neighbor underneath me smokes and my entire apt smells awful!!!! Neighbors do not pick up there dog mess, the sidewalks are like creeks when it rains, it basically floods...I have always had problems with my ac. I recently had a water leak and it took them over a month to fix. They fixed the leak a week after I asked. However, left a filthy bucket under it with a gaping hole for exactly a month, I have all of the paperwork and am trying to get out of my lease. This apt is overrated and awful. I would not recommend moving in!
