I lived at the tradition freshman year 2007-2008, and it was ok, but definitely not worth the price. The location is very noisy and if your unfortunate enough to be located on the outside next to the northgate parking lot like I was, you'll find it very hard to get a decent amount of sleep anytime between thursday through saturday night. Plus, there were times throughout the day where a car alarm would seem to go off every 10 minutes! My neighbor also had a horrible problem turning his alarm clock off, which I could hear quite clearly in my room. The parking garage was terrible. The lanes were way too small and people in huge cars would speed around the corners, its a wonder there aren't more accidents in there. Plus, parking is also ridiculously overprised, i had to pay $600 to park in there for one year. They force you to pay for a meal plan, which is a pain, because the food gets very old and a lot of times, you feel like your just throwing your money away. They don't let you share your meals with others and by the end of the week, if you havn't used up all your meals, they just disappear. I also had problems with mold in my room. After a few months my room also began to smell like mold and was very unpleasant and probably not very safe. They also had problems with the water and had to turn it off a couple of times, which was very unpleasant. Hopefully they have it fixed though so that it doesn't happen in the future. All in all, your basically throwing your money away for not that great of a place. The rate you would pay (not including your roommates pay) would be $1055.55 a month for a 7 meal, 2 bedroom plan, plus $600 a month for parking. To put that in perspective, you could live in an apartment that is just as, if not more decent, for around $550 a month including all bills and internet as well as a full kitchen and separate bathrooms and not have to pay for parking! Plus, most apartments have their own pools and workout facilities (though I will say their gym is probably better than most, but there pool is just average).
