the worst apartment ever, not functioning AC and ..

Honestly, now I have no reason to care or badmouth about this apartment since I moved out (thank God..), but I do hope my experience with this place can help other A&M students who ever thought about this apartment as a place to live. Cause it was not.
Briefly, the worst problem was the AC. I lived there for a year, and there was no single moment that it functioned good enough to go down below 85 degree. It was always too hot to stay inside, and no better than staying outside, especially during summer when it goes ninty some degree out there and it also was ninty some degree at home. Moreover, AC made this huge noise. I wouldn't mind having some noise around my living area cause things do make noise. But all my friends and families who visited me suffered so much from extremely loud noise of AC. Not-functional AC made unbearable noise and sometimes I rather chose to stay in 95 degree room without AC on cause the noise was even worse to stand than hot weather. According to the maintenace, the only solution was to change the whole AC in my building and it did not happen until I moved out. (really hope they realized how bad this is)
Another thing that horrified me was the bat. When I was waiting for the manager in the office to complain for AC, this guy from my neighbor was talking to the assistant. He was complaining about the bat showed up from the hole on cracked ceiling, and he had to take some vaccine shot when he found several bats flying around inside the room. (I felt so bad about him..) Of course, this is not my experience, this is my neighbor's and if I knew any of this before I wouldn't have made such a stupid decision to live there only because it is within walking-distance to campus. I definately would rather suffer through traffic jam or crowded shuttle bus in the morning than living in Treehouse.
Parking space was always not enough so I had to park my car far away, but this really wasn't a problem.
They have very strict policy for tenants like, there's no month-to-month option at the end of contract since they know they can always have new students who look for a place within walking-distance to campus not knowing what's coming. I understand they have strict policy but the way they manage their policy or rule was at my expense and suffering. I just regretted so much for not looking for apartment ratings and survey before making my decision. And I am so glad that I don't have to stay all sticky and sweaty even right after cold shower and deal with management's rudeness.
