When I first moved here, Shannon was nice to me. I went to their little parties and everything was cool. When my apartment needed work, the maintenance guys were so nice and fixed up everything.
My roommate had a dog. and had let him run loose. there is a crazy bird lady here that hates dogs so she will complain if you let your dog off leash. Well, she hates my roommate.
I was cool until.... We accidentally overpaid our prorated may rent... Shannon told us we move out on the 23 of May... so we paid that prorate. I go to her the next day, and ask how much the prorate was and she said it was much less because our move out day is the 15th! Whoa! We were never told that! Bad management here! She would not give us the check back. long story short, she kept the extra money with the deposit! We moved out on the 15th, turned in our keys and everything... then on the move out charges letter (that I never got in the mail! Shannon said she has proof she sent it and my address is correct but I never got anything! and my roommate had to go to her to get that letter!) the move out date says 5.23!!! My dad was even there on move out day. She promised us a final walk through... so we spent all day Friday cleaning. And she canceled the appointment! She came to tell us but apparently we didn't answer fast enough and didn't go find her later so she said she doesn't owe us one. I'll admit we should had chased her down but she could have called me at least, she knows I am the one always going to her. Well, she did not give us any money back.
She kept all $500 and charged my roommate $800! For pet stains,fleas and the "smell"
There is not a "smell" or fleas and those stains are not anything a simple steamed carpet cleaning couldn't fix. On the charges letter, the exact break down of the $800 is NOT explained! Shannon told me that I can not acquire about the pet charges because it was not my dog. So I will never know.
Treehouse just has bad management.
They are unorganized, if you tell them something...later they will lie and say you said something else. Or that they talked to about this or that.
So, this place might be ok with you if you are lucky enough to be given an apt that is ok. do not have a puppy!!!!!!!!!!!!! and do not accidentally overpay!!!
Shannon is nice when there are no problems. I am not a bad person, this is why i was nice back and everything was good. But one mistake just made move out horrible.
