I had a horrible experience at University Commons!
The apartment was filthy when I moved in. I literally had to clean everything before I could bring my stuff in.
I always kept my room and the joint-living areas clean. I never put so much as one spot on the carpet. When I moved out (leaving the apartment in BETTER condition than when I moved in), I lost virtually my entire security deposit!! They charged me for everything from new carpet to lightbulbs to $20 for drip pans!
Apparently the complex had changed management and decided it would be easier to just charge for anything and everything when people moved out instead of checking things out on an individual basis. After talking to several other tenants, I know I am definitely NOT the only person who lost my security deposit for no reason.
I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone unless the management and apartment conditions had changed drastically!
