For a two bedroom apartment in College Station this place is one of the best for the price. The design is amazing, but not practical. The huge windows are beautiful but they will cost you in electricity, especially with the prehistoric air conditioners. Our refridgerator and stove have to be the original ones that were put in when this place was built, because they are old and not in the best shape. One bedroom gets all the air, while the other is smoldering. They also ingeniously decided to place the air conditioning units right outside the master bedroom window, which is lovely to try to get adjusted to. Just imagine the wonderful buzzing and clanking of jank old pieces of junk outside your window when you're trying to go to sleep. And not just one unit buzzing away....try four. Also, the office staff will fail to mention this one to you before you sign on the dotted line...apparently the owner of these apartments have some beef with Cox Communications, therefore you can not get any of your tv or internet through them. Be prepared to pay out the butt for satellite and dsl. After we had already signed, we figured out why we had seen soooo many people with satellite dishes outside of their apartments. There is also hardly any storage space. There is NO pantry in the kitchen. Closets are small. We have also had a mouse problem in our building. These apartments also have a problem with spiders. My roomate and i have woken up with multiple spider bites. We have told the office, but their response was that there was really nothing they could do about this because of the wooded location we are in. Well this spider thing alone is enough to drive us away from Walden Pond. I would recommend this place simply because all the other 2 bedrooms in CS are either outrageously priced or full of loud obnoxious college kids. The maintenance staff is wonderful and office staff is friendly.
