2004 - 2009 Good & Bad

Pros & Cons

Pros
*Spacious floorplans
*Alright property
*Two pools
*Hot tub
*Business Center (but the computer is soooo old and slow & always freezes; hardly useable).
*Maintainance men are nice, but make sure to ask them directly if you want anything done quickly .. if you go through the leasing office it will take days if not a week.

Cons
*Many ghetto people have moved into this complex
*It has gone downhill in the past few years
*Depending on which building you move to, your place could be ROACH INFESTED
*Anyone can steal your mail the way the management has it in a storage room for anyone to walk right in and access it ... There is no supervision over your packaged mail (mine was stolen twice)
*Crime is bad (my hubby's wallet stolen out of the car)

I would advise people not to move to this complex, it really isn't good anymore. If you need to move to a low income apartment complex, take a look at Oak Creek Apartments. They are brand new and nice for now. At Oak Creek the two bd two bath is just $750 and it's a brand new property with garden tubs and all. (and no roaches .. yet!) (I believe that any low income place will go downhill eventually even as nice as Oak Creek is for the time being.)

***My Personal Story at Cimarron Park Apts***
Hello, I lived at Cimarron Park Apartments in Conroe,TX twice. The first time was from 2004 - 2005. At that time I was 15 - 16 years old and lived in one of their beautiful three bedroom two bathroom apartments with my mom and brother. The apartment was nice and the grounds were pretty. There was never a pest problem. Some of the neighbors were a bit ghetto, but that is to be expected in a low-income community. We moved only because we decided to go to the Galveston area to live. Overall, my first experience at Cimarron was very positive.

Next I moved back to Cimarron Park Apts in 2007, with my husband this time. We had a good experience in the one bedroom apartment on the second floor. I saw about 5 or 6 roaches in the year that we lived in the one bedroom .. not too bad, but still gross. Also, our electricity went out in the summer of 2007 while I was 7 months pregnant and it took FIVE DAYS for it to be repaired. We had to go sleep at a motel because I was so hot from the summer heat and did not receive any compensation for it. Then a week later the stove would not work properly, but that was fixed within two days. The bathroom floor was always wet and no one could figure out if it was the toilet leaking or the bathtub.. but that problem was never resolved. We were still happy enough with the complex that after my son was born, we decided to sign another lease - for a two bedroom this time.

So, we lived in the two bedroom two bathroom flat from June 2008 - March 2009. This was when I began to feel miserable being here. The place was completely ROACH INFESTED. Maybe we were unlucky enough to move around dirty neighbors or something, but we had them spray every week with no success. Roaches were everywhere .. the kitchen, the bathrooms, the living area, the bedrooms .. I mean everywhere. I had a package with a couple hundred dollars worth of merchandise delivered to me at the leasing office where I was told the manager had signed for it .. when I went to pick it up the next day it was not there. No one could ever find my package and I was not given any compensation for that either. One night my husband was stupid enough to leave his wallet on the passenger side floor of the car in the parking lot at Cimarron... when we went to get it from the car the next morning, the wallet was gone. Then when we went to cancel our debit cards, there was already a $900 bill run up on the cards all in one day. Altogether, my stay at Cimarron was absolutely miserable in the two bedroom and I was so happy when the lease was up!!! Oh, one other thing, I forgot to mention .. I was really upset when I realized the same two bedroom two bathroom that my husband and I were renting for $810 just because my hubby's income was $3,000/month was also going for $686 for people making less money .. and when my husband lost his job, the management refused to lower our rent to the amount that other less fortunate people were paying. That was really wrong, in my opinion. What a rip off!
