I'm going to miss this place.

I've never had such a nice apartment and now that I'm moving out of state I'm so disappointed to give this place up.
The community is a toss up. Some of the neighbors are the nicest quietest people I've ever met. A few are spoiled college kids. Most though are families just starting out or retirees who don't want the upkeep of property ownership anymore. I will say wait and get a unit in the back of the complex since the noise from the highway in the front row of buildings is bad. Once you're past the first buildings though the buildings and trees (lots of them) keep the noise from affecting the rest of us. The apartment has everything I could ever want, especially in a one bedroom - attached garage, jacuzzi jets in the tub, a real room for my washer and dryer (not just a closet), smooth top stove. People are bad about leaving empty cans and stuff at the pool but you take the good with the bad. The clubhouse has a really nice gym (which in a year has never had anything broken more than one day), a tanning bed, a steam room, a business center with fax and copier. And we haven't seen any of the cars getting messed with like complexs around the corner have. I'd rent here again and wish I hadn't waited so long to do it.
* Be aware the rates on the phone aren't the real rates. They won't tell you the real specials unless you come in for a tour. They have the specials printed out though so everyone who tours get the real rates - a real savings. I was quoted 900 a month and the special for touring was 760.
Oh and when I moved from Park at Woodmoor to here I gained a garage, a top floor unit, and more square footage yet my power bill (with the same company) went down almost $50 a month! A sure fire sign of good construction. During Rita we didn't loose a single roofing tile or anything. Just a couple tree branches that did no damage.
Lastly, the support staff is really good. The top manager could use some more people skills but she always takes care of issues.
(That and there is door side trash pickup three times a week, not once like other places.)
