Don't live here . . .

My husband, son and I lived in these apartments for 2 years and left very unsatisfied. We were excellent tenants, no complaints called in on us, always paid rent on time, etc. We switched apartments twice in an effort to have more room and did our best to scrub the previous apartment. Yet the first time we were a day late on the rent (b/c I messed up the date it was due by) we were threatened with eviction! We moved out at the end of our lease (July '08) and found out from the electric company that they didn't notify them we had moved out until August (when they had to call to switch the bill to the new renter's name or they may never have called) so we lost our deposit with the electric company. Also, its now almost October and we still haven't received the balance on our deposit. We received a statement saying they owed us $91. The statement came to our new house so I know they have the correct address but nothing yet!!

You have to call them. I know it's not your job, but you do. I have worked in property management for years. You just have to bother them so they can bother their higher ups. Second: they didn't THREATEN you with eviction. It's the LAW. Even if you call and directly tell them you are going to be 1 day late with rent, by law they still have to put out notices on the 4th to EVERYONE. They cannot discriminate. If you are a good resident or a nightmare, everyone has to be treated the same ....
