Know your rights! The staff was, as usual, abusive and unhelpful today. According the Texas law, provided you have given a forwarding address and are current on rent the landlord has 30 days after move-out to return your security deposit or explain the reasons it is not being returned. They were provided with my forwarding address Dec 29, along with the 60 days notice required.
I heard nothing until I received a certified letter mailed 4-24-09 claimed I owed them 200 dollars over and above the security deposits. ($80 to remove a case of water I left - seriously') Anyway, I just called and was yelled at by Samantha claiming she HAD given the proper notice (not true) and claiming they had spoken to me several times (also not true- I called once to find out the name of the new manager - #5 in 3 years).
They are NOT HONEST - be VERY careful - the business model seems to be lies on top of lies.

Makes me glad that I didn't get an apartment with them. They seemed to not know what they were doing then...and it's only gotten worse!

I have never lived at an apartment complex that had 24 hour access to everything. I totally understand why they have limited, but they are open 7 days a week. I have no problems. They do send out a monthly newsletter. Nothing is hidden. As a matter of fact a copy is clearly displayed on their bulletin board by the mailboxes. I am glad they are charging $50 to people who do not pickup after their pet!! I love it here!!

Ewwww... I've live here and loved it up until they fired all the good girls in the office who apparently "knew what they were doing" - - They were the only ones who got anything done around there. Seriously, after hurricane IKE all three leasing girls knocked on all the doors to make sure we were all OK. That was nice and comforting. Stop cleaning house people....Bring back the old girls who actually give a ----.
