Horrible Place to Live

From: -Anonymous-

Years at this apartment: 2002 - 2004

When I moved into Treehouse Apts, I was very disappointed in the condition of the apartments. There was paint was all over the kitchen cabinets, baseboards, patio doorframe, and various other places. Whenever the tile was put in, it was put in crooked and is coming up in various places and bubbling. Asked them to replace, refused to. Our Air Conditioning went out twice in two years, each time in the summer and everytime they had to order the part so we were left without air conditioning and management refused to let us stay in another vacant apartment because there weren't any; however the apartment across from us was vacant, so they lied. Our refridgerator went out on a Wednesday and they couldn't get another one in until Monday, so all of our food was going to go bad. We asked if we could use a vacant apartment with a WORKING refridgerator to store our food until our fridge was replaced and we were told we could put it in the workout center which was unlocked at all times. That to me sounded like a free for all of our groceries. Both of our sinks leaked horribly and we asked several times for these to be replaced. They never were. Finally we bought new faucets and replaced them ourselves. Our shower curtain in the bathroom along with the towel rack were so old, they were rusted and you definately would not want to hang a towel on them, so once again we asked to have them replaced, did they' Nope, we were left to buy those or hang our towels on a rusty rack. Our oven fan/light has not worked the whole time we have been there and after putting in several requests to have it fixed, it is still to this day not working. Our top heating element in our stove has not been working for the past six months and still has not been replaced! We were given a written notice about trash being on our porch when the maintenance came to repaint the porch for new people moving in, b/c some kids threw eggs on our porch (Which we told the manager about). I find it funny how for someone new moving in they will bow down to make you feel like you are making the best choice of your life and once that lease is signed, you can forget it. Management at this apartment, along with maintenance sucks. I called the main headquarters several times (Sheng Ramco) and left messages to where still to this day, after a year and a half, no one has returned my calls. The class of people living in these apartments has gone down with management. I used to feel safe walking around at night, now I wouldn't dream of checking my mail alone at night! I worry about my car being vandalized, b/c of the constant in an out flow of traffic. After living here for two years, paying 500.00 a month on time everytime, and having to fix all maintenence problems on my own, after my year lease expired, I decided to go month to month until I found somewhere else to go. After informing them that I was moving out, and new staff arrived, I was told that with a month to month lease (which I never signed) you had to give 60 days notice. (Which prior personel didn't inform me about) Now I am going to be billed for the next two months rent and not only is it going to go on my credit as a broken lease, it is also going to show up as an unpaid debt. I certainly was left with a very poor impression of the place would not recommend it to anyone.
