I was having serious emotional problems after a divorce, so I felt I had no choice but to break my lease and move out of town close to good friends that could help me through this bad time. Would the apartment management work with me, no! Instead they have reported me to the collection agencies to collect their debt. I quit my job and moved out of town. No leeway....no sympathy....no help. I'm much better now and am ready to get back on my own in another 8 months. Will I be able to lease again with this on my credit report....probably not.
