Years at this apartment: 2009 - 2009
I origionally moved into these apartments in 2005 when I first came to the Ft. Hood area. After my lease was up, I moved to a bigger place. Since my last deployment, I have found myself back in these apartments. I have never lived in a better community. The residents are freindly and quiet. I know my children are safe walking down the middle of the street because noone speeds through. I never hear loud music or people arguing. It is extremely peaceful here because the residents, for the most part, live by the rules.
As far as the staff here is concerned, I find it very odd for anyone to not like these wonderful people. If it wasn't for all of the extra effort put forth by these two women, I wouldn't have had place to live upon my return from Iraq, due to personal and credit issues. Every concern I have had has been addressed by both of them in the most professional manner. They are also residents here which helps to resolve issues faster. I'm going to assume that these "Anonymous" people posting things about the management have some sort of issues following the community guidelines thus have had the staff correct them. Some people don't know how to follow rules, which is obvious since it is a lease violation to slander the community.
I also read a post about the cost of rent here. I found it to be very funny. When you sign a lease, you make an agreement to pay a certain price. Not like the managers have randomly come up with certain prices. I would make an assumption that it would be a corprate decision. If you don't like the cost, live somewhere else. But you won't get the benefits that come from the added price like being able to leave your door unlocked at night, sleep during the day without being disturbed after working night-shift, or knowing that all the people around you expect the same courtesies you do. Its definitely worth the price to me.
I know that if I deploy from here again, I would keep my apartment through the deployment because I would not want to risk the chance of losing my spot here. Yes, there is a waiting list for apartments. That's how good this place is.
