**BEWARE OF MANAGER**

Original manager was nice upon move in. We had no problems for about a year. Then a new manager came in and all of a sudden there are problems with things that never were a problem. They tell you upon move in that you can put your trash outside your door, it stated online and in contract that they provide door to door trash service. When in fact, they stopped picking up trash at the door and stated they have a new trash pickup and trash bags need to be walked out to the curb. Keep in mind, door to door trash service was in the signed contract. And the manager stated if trash is put by the door a $25 fine will be charged, and the trash will not be picked up. I was told upon move in that they will notify you anytime entry needs to be made in the apartment. They said they would knock and if no response they would attempt to call the cell phone number on file. I had them make sure this was their policy because I had 2 small dogs in the apartment that are very protective. I also told them that I work nights and would probably not hear them unless they called. Needless to say I woke up to find someone in my kitchen. My dogs cornered him but thank goodness they listened when I told them to go back to the bedroom. They were just as shocked as I was to find someone inside my apartment. Thank goodness I dressed. The new apartment manager had nothing but excuses and said it is not their policy to call, only knock and if no answer at the door they will make entry. They have no respect for the fact that I worked nights. I told them to write it in my file but they said it wouldn't make a difference. Keep in mind, this is a service we PAY for, but the new management acted as if they are doing us a FAVOR by putting up with tenants. They told me we needed to take down our welcome sign on our door or be charged a fine. The move out was a horrible experience. The manager expects the apartment to look brand new, when in fact the apartments are old and need remodeling. We always ate out, used the oven a select MAYBE 5 times total in our 2 years of living there, we cleaned it out, then on the walk through she said it was still dirty, I could not see what she was talking about but we cleaned it again, but she still charged us a $25 fee for their staff to clean the oven. The carpet looked better than we moved in because we cleaned it thoroughly but she lifted up the carpet and said there were stains on the padding so she was going to charge us for everything. The stains were on areas were our furniture was and had been for 2 years we were living there, so it wasn't from us, but we were never able to lift up the carpet upon move in so of course that wasn't on our move in checklist. We told her to check her records because the carpet looked very old when we moved in, she checked and said well yes the carpet was old so it needed to be replaced so she wouldn't charge us, but was still charging for the padding and labor which is more than the padding itself.
**BEWARE** if you choose to live at this apartment complex you NEED to look UNDER the carpet when you move in and make sure there aren't any stains. Don't let them tell you no, because if they can lift it up when you move out, you can lift it up when you move in. Take pictures of everything when you move in so you have evidence.
**ALSO** Get the age of the carpet when you move in, and the age of the padding. They told us the carpet has a life of 4 years and the padding 10 years.
***PARKING ISSUES*** We lived on the corner and our parking space was directly behind our apartment. Our parking space was at the end of the parking lot. We had a TON TON TON of problems with people parking behind us and blocking us in. The manager NEVER decided to have a tow truck get the vehicle. Thank goodness we had a second extra vehicle parked else where. Without it I would have been late to work numerous times, or possibly even not been able to go, people would block us in for hours. Management does nothing about this problem despite repeated calls/complaints.
**ELECTRICITY WILL BE EXTREMELY HIGH** Building is old, insulation is horrible. Our electricity in our new home is a lot lower than at this small apartment. For a 900 sq ft apartment we payed almost $300 sometimes.
My recommendation is to try other apartment complexes. We lived at The Arbors on Saratoga/Cimmaron before this one, despite parking issues, there were no real issues there compared to this place. If that previous manager had stayed I don't believe I'd have this many complaints.
They do make an attempt to have community relations by leaving an ice chest of cokes out on Fridays sometimes, or having holiday "parties" with pizza and what not.

I totally agree with everything they had to say in this review! The new manager is horrible and they charged me for some ridiculous items. If you don't want to throw money away don't move here!
