I have only lived in two apartment complexes, but I actually lived in the ghetto in Austin and didn't have any problems there. I've had my screens pulled off several times here, I had some stupid idiot either peeing or doing heaven knows what next to my bedroom window, and one of my friends cars was broken into here. It's not an ugly place. The apartments are actually pretty nice if you can deal with all the crap.
