We moved to Village in the Woods in early 1995 and it was VERY DIFFICULT to get in - lots of restrictions. It was a lovely, clean, QUIET place to live. We've recently moved away because the complex has gone downhill to the point of being scary.

There seem to be zero restrictions as folks are allowed to move in and allowed do whatever they wish to the detriment of their neighbors: noise, trash strewn about, vehicles that do not work allowed to sit idle for months on end with expired inspection and registration stickers.

There is a revolving door for the office staff - no one sticks around long enough to know who you are from one month to the next. The ONLY shining star is the maintenance crew. They have been here for years and know who you are, care about you and what is happening to the place, but are hampered by a property owner that is not interested in keeping the place properly maintained - only cosmetic "quick fixes" are allowed. They are now attempting to make some long overdue repairs at this time, but they do not appear to go deep enough to the root issue: this is a 20 year old property that is in desperate need of renovation.

The landscaping is gorgeous - in the front of the complex. The rest is given short-shrift by the very haphazard lawn service.

Huge holes and ruts in the asphalt make it a challenge to manuever to and from your apartment.

We were once very proud to call Village in the Woods home, but we are now so glad to finally be able to leave it far behind. So sad.
