If you have children it is best that you do not live in these apartments. During the year we lived there my son was approached 3-4 times between Dec of 03 and May of 04 asking if he wanted drugs. When I asked the management if they knew there was a drug problem in the complex they said the had "no idea" and told me the next time my son was approached to "get more information about the person" When I gave my notice they asked me why I was moving and after writing a page of all the whys I was moving the manager called and told me that yes there was drug problem and they were "trying to take care of it".
We lived in by the parking lot by the playground area and there were always people sitting in their cars late at night or just hanging out by the cars drinking. Several mornings I woke up to find beer cans and beer bottles in the bed of my truck.
Several times someone tried to break into our truck but were scared off by the alarm.
The maintenance guys are the best but they cannot fix everything that is wrong.
Our A/C never worked correctly and if you set the thermostat lower than 80 degrees it ran continuously. I called the office and told them about the A/C problem and they told me "it was normal in the summer for the A/C to run continuously." The maintenance man finally told me that since I lived upstairs where there was no insulation in the attic and the A/C was old, there was nothing he could do about. My electric bill for a small 2 bedroom apt with 2 people living there, would run well over $200 per month and we had the thermostat at 80!!!
Parking was not a problem because there were so many vacant units but if all were full, there would definitely be a problem.
I could go on and on about the reasons not to live in this complex. It is deceiving because it is in a great area - until you pull into the drive of Village in the Woods.
