This place was horrible

I was advertised a new apartment, with all kinds of features. This was quite different than the apartment I recieved. I recieved a 35 year old polished turd. Every single week loud annoying construction took place. One week I had no balcony, the next week I had no stair case' To make matters worse the kids in this apartment complex are terrors. They break everything, they skateboard into brand new trucks (mine). More than one occosaion I witnessed police searching the complex for criminals. There is almost no free parking to speak of, I had to drive around for 10 minutes to find parking some nights.
But of all things that were terrible with this apartment the management was the worst. AIMCO and its staff are nightmares to deal with. They had zero tolerance on any thing that required money. They threaten to kick you out for not getting a cooler off your porch, while they do nothing to the neighborhood kids for destroying property. Nothing with this place is advertised correctly. All in all I consider them liars.

Hi There, What part of the complex where you living in? I live in the back and never have a problem finding parking. As for the construction, as I've said before, it was a NIGHTMARE. The good news is that the bulk of it is over. The kids, I've said before parents don't watch their kids close enough. When Katrina happened there was a huge influx of folks that were not only traumatized but also not always of the best moral character. It's a lot better now, still not perfect by a long shot. Similar to most apartments in this price range, I'm afraid. I've never had a problem that hasn't been addressed by management, sometimes though the answer is "no". As for money issues. Yes, they will evict you if you don't pay your rent or water bill. And when they deliver the late notices, they are going to notice the cooler on your patio. I keep a trashcan outside. When I received the notice about what can be on patios, I called. I told them what I had and they said they'd look and let me know if was a problem. The trashcan was new, never overflows and they said it was fine even though it wasn't on the "list". They are trying to make the apartment nice for everyone. I promise you when they get enough on kids causing damage, parents will be asked to leave. I've lived here for 3 years now. I don't love it but I also don't hate it. |

We've lived here for 15 years; I guess we are in a good location as it is usually very quiet, I have things on the patio and have never had a complaint or any theft. My biggest complaint would be the thoughtless renters who let their dogs go to the bathroom any place they please and even when they are with the animals, they never even try to clean up the messes. Management has sent out notices about that, but the problem is the thoughtless, careless people. Our apartment hasn't been painted in years, but that is because we are older and have trouble moving the furniture we'd have to move. The place was a mess this year because of extensive remodeling that was desperately needed, but people knew that coming in and rents were kept at last year's level because of it. It isn't heaven, but there are worst places to live.

Sorry guys not fooled we can obviously tell these responses were added by management. Anyway like I said no Balcony for a week and no staircase for an entire day on a "New Apartment" is just ridiculous!
Bottom line is that after many apartment complexes over many years this one was just terrible! Read the rest of the reviews it is plain and simple, management there is a joke!

As for the first person who spoke....why would you accept an apartment inthe first place if it is not what you wanted? Not to be mean but if they showed me an apartment and stated it would be available in the future but not this exact apartment that i was viewing then i surely would not sign a lease until i saw the one i was going to be living in for a my home. Thats common sense for anyone out there that is moving. View YOUR apartment or home before you sign the papers. I would and happy to see a police officer looking for chriminals because guess what...this is Houston and crime is everywhere reguardless of where you live. You should have thanked him or them and tell them what a great job they are doing. I mean come on people if your going to complain about upgrades and construction being done, crime, etc. then die please because it is only getting worse for our generations and this is a great place to live and the kids love it here.
