I lived here for 2 years and in 2 different apartments including a townhouse. This place is nasty!! Drug dealers lived nearby and there was constant criminal activity!! Even the cops were afraid to come here. I would never ever live here if I were you. I got out as soon as I could afford to. I was afraid my car would get stolen or vandalized. This place needs to be torn down!!!!! It's falling apart!!! Not to mention they can't keep a steady management or maintenance staff. Nothing ever got fixed. It took an act of God to get anyone off their butts!!!

That was ten years ago!!! Did AIMCO even own it then? This place has been renovated, I know of two cops who live in the complex (even a state trooper!), I doubt they are scared. I've lived here since 2002 and never had a problem with maintenance (same guys since I've been here). If I have a maintenance problem, it's never been more than a day till they come fix it and if they have to order a part, they let me know how long it will be. I don't know what it was like when you lived here but it's not that way now. Yes, the apartments are older but with the renovations they look great. New cable has been run into the master bedroom and living room so reception is wonderful. Management always takes care of any issues I have. In return for that, I pay my rent on time, keep the outside of my unit looking good and am not a nuisance. What on earth would cause you to post after 10 years? I don't want to live in an apartment, I want a house but this place is the best deal for the price around. I always have parking, I live in the back and it's rare to see or hear anything out of the way. I've lived in places where I've been afraid before, this is not one of them!

Yeah, I agree with lostinalease. I have been here for at least a year and a half and I have never experienced anything like what you are talking about. There are police officers who live here and I have never know anyone to be scared to enter this place. Maybe the experience you had was brought on by yourself. I have had nothing but good experiences from Village in the Woods.

I lived there for a year and yes this was accurate. Drug dealers, terribly unsupervised delinquent kids, thugs, dogs, poor management. Call the manager because your AC is out and you get a 3 day response put a plant on your porch they will be there in 10 minutes. I would also like to add that they removed my Balcony and staircase WHILE WE WERE INSIDE AND COULD NOT LEAVE!!! Told management on the phone and they stated "Well that is a separate contract company and we can not control what they work on, they should be done today or this evening!!!!" NO JOKE NO LIE!! It really happened!
