12/17/10 by howiedallas: I agree with the "First" posters comment dated 01/11/2006. If you lease/move into the Chevelle Apartments you will regret it for the rest of your life. Irma is the most "unprofessional" manager that I have ever had to deal with. The antique air conditioning (chill tower) breaks down at least once a month during the HOT summer months. The heating system is NOT any better during the more

07/02/12 by anonymous: You pay for the location and the apartment that's it. Gables has become very corporate taking out any personality in the staff. You never hear from the staff unless there is a problem. The girls at the front are cold as January. If you get a smile it's because your signing lease papers. Rest of the time you have the frigid winds of the north glaring at you every time you walk by. more

09/09/10 by enright30: I think this apartment is now called The Quarters on Melody. If this is correct, they still suck big time. When I first moved in everything was good. I loved the fact that I had no roaches. However I was starting to get spiders - I guess because I was on first floor near ground area. The apartment was like a townhome, very big, spacious, and cozy. However when the old management more

They seriously turn the AC off in November, and don't turn it back on until march....as Texas doesn't have much winter be prepared to spend weeks sweating your --- off in your 80 degree apartment! 04/01/11 by anonymous: I have been living here for a while and I can't wait until my lease is up. This place is the WORST I have ever rented. The walls are too thin. You are literally wall to wall and it has no insulation. The manager did a walk through WITHOUT notifying me and to top it off he left the freaking air conditioner on ON (not auto)with the thermostat all the way on 50 degrees while I was at work. 10/06/13 by anonymous: Stay away from these apartments, they are falling apart. It takes weeks and some months for anything to be repaired; somethings don't get repaired. There's no one the call in an emergency over the weekend. You could be in an apartment with no air conditioning over the weekend like I have been or with the ceiling caved like this week.It doesn't matter if you pay on time or not.The more

Trash is everywhere even OUTSIDE of the TRASH compacter. And its this one particluar cat who spreads KITTENS all through the complex. She has has well over 2 million of kittens. The maintenance is is incompentent. The washateria HOT water doesnt even work more

12/02/13 by apthuntress87: My main issue is with the rude staff. The property is new so nothing is wrong with the apartment itself. However, I had an issue which I needed to discuss with the manager. Was told if I emailed her would receive a response within 24 hours. I emailed her 3 times - received no response. I had to forward my emails to the front office before I could get someone to reply to me. Good luck getting a more
