don't give these people your money.

I do not live here, nor have I ever lived here. However, when I looked at an apartment, I really liked it and they encouraged me to leave a deposit check, just in case I wanted to rent there. They said they would not cash the check without my authorization. Well, I decided against living there after reading the ratings on this website, and realizing that it was too expensive for me, and never actually applied at this complex or signed any kind of documents. I should have watched them rip up the check that I'd left, but I was stupid and trusted them- and guess what. They cashed the check. And every time I've tried to find out why and try to get my money back, there is some new person working in the office, or they can't find the file, or someone will call me back in 15 minutes with the information- and it never happens. I may or may not pursue this further. I might give up on the money, because maybe it's just a good lesson for me, and I hope someone else learns from it too. Good thing I didn't move in because there probably would have been a fiasco like this every month. This place is shady, and from my limited experience with them, I recommend not getting involved.
