The response before me is correct about Amesbury Parc trying to get all the money they can out of you. We lived there for 12 months and I could not wait to move out. The roaches ARE the size of squirrels. I am surprised that Amesbury doesn't charge everyone a pet fee. These are big enough to be considered pets. Ughh!!! But other than the squirrels..I mean roaches, there are other problems. There is exposed wiring & electrical boxes open for anyone to tamper with in places right off the sidewalks. That in itself is a violation of code. The beams of wood that "hold" the balconies and upstairs walk ways are rotting in areas and some are just hanging. The ones that were by our apt could be easily moved just by leaning on them. Not too safe. Our air conditioning leaked all over the hallway rug and bathroom. Maintenance did come the next day to fix it, but when I came home the carpet was ripped up and there were a couple of holes in the wall. It took them a week until they FINALLY came back and layed the rug back down with padding and took another few days to get the holes fixed. Our oven broke and was replaced with an older oven that was full of stains that would not come off(which we were charged for when we moved). When we finally moved out we were mailed a bill for $500 saying that we left with bleach stains on the rug (it was cleaning powder...all it needed was another vacuum), dirty oven (was given to us that way), 2 carpet patches=$90 (have no idea what that was for, probably scamming us with whatever damage the air conditioner leak did, and dirty bathrooms(they were CLEAN AND SHINY). All I have to say is be careful if you move here and for the ones that are moving out...CLEAN YOUR CEILING FANS AND MAKE SURE ALL YOUR BULBS WORK. They charge for that. Also, I would DEMAND to have an office person do a walk through with you of the apartment. Make them sign off on what is wrong...that way you won't get screwed at the end.
