As everyone else has said, the roaches are huge and plentiful. It is impossible to keep them out. However, that was the least of our problems, and I should note that roaches are my worst fear. I could not sleep for a few days when we first moved in because of the bugs.

Other "minor" problems: the laundry rooms are a disaster. There are holes in the wall and half the time the machines don't work. The apartments seem to be starting to fall apart. I also had a "wild animal" of some sort scratching between the walls. I would guess a mouse or rat.

Now for the "major" problems.

First was our apartment flooding. The water heater broke and left us with half an inch of water in the closet and our bedroom carpet completely soaked through. They came and replaced the padding underneath the carpet and left a ton of trash when they did. And no one bothered to ask if anything of ours might have been damaged.

The second event happened when I got out of the shower one morning. I go and sit at my desk and hear a noise at the window. I look up and someone is trying to raise the window. The person was unsuccessful and left, but came back shortly thereafter before the police had arrived. When I told the office about it the next morning their response was something like "oh that never happens here...".

It's also worth noting that I had a bike padlocked to my front porch that was stolen on only the second night I left it out there. My next door neighbor put his bike on his back porch (with a high fence) and it was stolen within 30 minutes of him leaving to go to the store. Our guess is someone saw him moving in that day and was waiting for him to leave.

The place is a disaster, don't waste your time.




Oh I nearly forgot the $350 bill when I left for the utilities I apparently never paid and a $60 cleaning fee (which is ridiculous... the place was in much better shape when we left than it was when we moved in).
