The sounds of sour grapes

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
I've lived here for the past 9 months (and recently renewed for a year - now that I know I'll have a job for that long), and, I lived here in 2003 (moved for a job that didn't work out). This is truly a cool place and clearly the "best" in what I consider one of the coolest places in Dallas to live.
Next door, City of Addison, affords all the night life, and great resturants you could want in Dallas. I love the resort style pool here, and it's separate water polo court & spa, which makes it a special meeting place. And the young and energenic staff falls all over themselves to make your day. Even breadfast "at the gate" when you're not expecting it recently! Knocked me over. Everyplace experiences problems and there's no exception here, like when the major lightening storms took out the gates here about a year ago, it was a major pain "in the butt" before they were finally able to restore service without a hitch. But they never ignored the problem and its now working better than ever compared to other places I've lived, where the gates never work, or never work right. And other obvious improvements are occurring here all the time. Quite frankly, since I was a resident here before, I can tell you that not only are the personnel much better that they were before, but they don't come and go as they once did. They always knew my name but now I actually know theirs. Apparantly there is much more consistency in the management policies and more "hands on" guidance to do it the new owner's way, who from my observation, and feedback from the staff, takes a "pride of ownership" in the property and often lives here himself to make sure things are running in the customer service manner that he has impressed on the staff, who may not be "old hands" in the business but who are certainly interested in being the best they can be. I consider it to be very refeshing compared to the old "know it all" types, who can't think independently from the "old school handbook". And when I registered a complaint last summer, the owner himself, who was on the premises, called me and took care of it himself.I was impressed. And I've been told by another resident that had a complaint, that when he couldn't get satisfaction from the manager, and after she explained to him that her limits of authority (or experience) was exhausted, he was readily referred to the owner's Regional Manager to resolve his problem. Lastly, since I have personally experienced a "move out" here, I can say the previous reviews that I read while posting mine, have to be nothing but SOUR GRAPES, as nothing like that happened to me, and I'm not the world's best housekeeper; moreover, the last reviewer must be living somewhere else because the review describes a getto, and if it were even close, I'd be out of here in a flash. This place is spotless and super quiet. I can't imagine that the staff here wouldn't respond immediately to the complaints that person mentioned, and I've never seen or heard anything here that would validate it. Take a look and decide for yourself, that's what I alway say.
