Worked it out despite our anger

We recently moved from here, and we didn't like our move out bill! But after we sat down with one of the agents and went over the charges, and the reasons therefore, we at least understood the charges from their viewpoint and were able to achieve a reasonable compromise on those items that were were "on the edge". I guess there are always 2 sides of an issue but it's hard to place yourself on the other side of what you think is best for yourself; however, we were always treated in a very friendly and courteous manner, and everything was above board, so we left with a good feeling and some new found appreciation for the fact that living in an apartment is more or less like buying any product, and if something goes wrong with it, you're usually stuck with whoever you have to deal with at the companies'complaints department, and then subject to that company's policy. It this case, the company's agent was very professional and explained the company's policy in a way we understood and accepted. And it didn't hurt that our complaints were not only heard but there was some "give" to thier initial position. Our anger was pretty much dissolved, and therefore our move did not end up washing away our otherwise happy stay at this complex. But we look forward to our new house and freedom from renting.
