I lived there from Sept 2001-April 2002. i had an apartment streetside on the first floor. Within the first couple of months I was robbed in the middle of the night. When I called the police all they would do is send someone out to dust for fingerprints. No cop came to my apartment, everything was done over the phone. So for the rest of my time there I was fearful and uneasy. Also there were "MEXICAN's that would sit in their pickup trucks and oogle my wife, even with my kids around but they would never do this in my presence. The upstairs neighbors would part till 4am and then start back up around noon. If you like the sound of helicopters chasing down criminals at midnight then this place is for you. Do not trust any apartment locators, they are not in it for you safety or concern. I asked for an apartment complex that was close to my work, Garland, and would be safe for small children. They managed to get zero of my requests fullfilled. They will put you in an apartment for the fee they collect PERIOD Also there are apartment in the "middle" of the complex that are vacant. That is where the whores and theives score. The police found my wife's purse there a couple of weeks after we were robbed. Don't rent here. Be safe
