I moved from Memphis to Dallas in June of 2005. I was pleased with the apartments upon viewing them. They are VERY spacious, it was all bills paid after 01/01/06 it is commercial utitilites(what you use is what you pay for-no average billing), and a washer/dryer provided in all 2 bedrooms apartments. After leaving I did as I would hope that anyone would---go to this website. After seeing the past reviews I was second guessing this apartment. I went back to the office and talked with the assistant manager and told her what I saw on the website and asked was all this true. She did admit that there were previous problems with drugs and prostitution in the area. The apartment complex and whole surrounding area with the help of Dallas Police did a major overhaul. I can safely say that I am pleased with my stay at the "Del Rey Village" previously named Autumn Ridge. I see First watch security company every night that patrol the area and a security guard on foot in our apartment complex. They hold neighborhood watch meetings and often have activities for children. The staff is great and I have not had a problem with getting any maintenance done. The parking is now under control due to assigning covered parking to the ones that are on the lease and plenty of open spaced parking for those that have 2 cars and visitors. The school for Dallas is 2 years old and conveniently located around the corner/walking distance for older elementary kids. Highland Meadows have an excellent staff and principal. Certain units in the back of the complex attend Richardson School district. The apartment is very convenient to 635, gas stations, dining, and stores. The ONLY reason I am moving from here is to be closer to work.
