Okay, I haven't read all of the posts here, just the last one, and I have to put this here. Our upstairs neighbors car was stolen about 3 months ago. It was not a fancy car, just a regular run of the mill car. Then about two months ago, our daughter's car was stolen. She had gotten in around 2 a.m. and could not get in the front gate. We were out of town, and had the clicker, and of course we had been told there was NO GATE CODE, and since we weren't at home to answer the phone that is tied to the gate entry box she was basically out of luck in getting into the apartment. So, she parked out front of the office and went to a friend's house. She came back at 3:30, and the car was gone. Now, mind you, it was a 1994 car that even had a baby car seat and a spare tire donut on it. Luckily, it was parked directly in the path of the front security camera. When we called the office, they informed us that the security camera did not work (never has) since they bought the apartments. Then the girl in the office proceeded to tell me this was the third car stolen (of course, this was accidental since she thought I was one of the other two that was calling them). Since then, we've been told by other residents that there IS A GATE CODE - and had we known that then she would not have had to park out front. Of course, sounds like there has been more crime going on in this place than anyone has been advised of. It's a shame the apartment complex does not alert its residents that there are problems so that we could do a community crime watch or at least be 'on the lookout'. Seems to me there would be some type of liability on this, wouldn't there be'

I think that this may be a personal issue. How can you blame a community of 500? I agree, that there are a lot better cars to steal.

"extremlypleased" aka "Management" please stop going from response to response typing stupid comments. It's very clear, that you have some mental issues, do us all a favor and "SHUT THE HELL UP!!!" I'm here on this site for serious tenant feedback. Go play somewhere else, like the mental ward they released you from in error.

A friend of mine lives there and management either opens the gates for me or gives me a code all the time. Convenient for me, but sort of negates the purpose of having gates in the first place.
