We move in about 3 months ago and I thought I was upgrading from the last place but it s been nothing but problems. I been asking for maintenance for the last three months and nothing has been repaired. When we moved in the apartment was filthy and the a/c didn t work the countertops are still coming undone there are dents all over the kitchen floor our property was stolen from the second floor balcony, I had problems with my rent not being credited to me, balance past due after my first 3 days of moving in its just been nothing but headaches.

I am also still waiting on maintenance after 1 month. This property management company has been very unprofessional from day 1.
There appears to not be an accounting system as they are unable to provide monthly statements justifying the utility charges, and are also unable to provide a receipt for payment.
This month, I walked in to pay the rent and was advised that there were no utility charges yet. Five days later I receive a notice that I have a past due amount. I was advised that this was for water usage, yet they were unable to provide a statement or proof of meetering. I contacted the utility company and they verified that there was no usage being billed yet. I returned to the apartment office for them to explain, and the charge now was for trash. They ended up waiving the charge claiming that I should not have been billed for this service yet. Basically it was a fabricated charge as they themselves were unable to account for it. How many residents ended up paying this fabricated charge, and how did the property management account for it? Who's pocket is it in?
I am writing a letter to the Texas Apartment Association(www.taa.org) and the Apartment Association of Greater Dallas(www.aagdallas.com) as these accounting practices seem unprofessional. I suggest you do the same. The more correspondence demonstrating our dissatisfaction with the way this management company is working, the sooner we can have them resolve these issues.
Updated 11/23/09: Once again, issues with billing and yet another management company. Apparently the apartments are now managed by Internacional Realty, and the utilities by Hocutt. Our water utilities doubled from last month as the management company found out that they were under-billing.
We can't get out of here soon enough. Sadly we are only at the beginning of our lease.
