I lived here back in 1997.. I really liked this property.. It was super clean and well kept.. It was a really nice-looking property.. Management was nice and helpful.. The entire Village was well kept.. I had a 1-bedroom and I paid $378 a month.. That was a great deal for an apartment in the Village.. The Village offers so many ammenities that there is something for everyone.. There was one major problem with living here.. Some apartments face Skillman street (like mine).. The traffic along Skillman sounds so loud , that one literally has to keep the sliding glass door shut to hear anything.. It drove me crazy !! I was told by office personnel that others had complained about the same thing.. As far as crime in the Village goes : I have to admit there seems to be quite a bit more than at other nearby properties.. People living north of Northwest Highway see the Village as the perfect opportunity (lots of young women to assault and lots of expensive stuff to steal).. I'm sorry to say this but Smith security is a joke !!
