i've been living in camden garden for about 9 months...this place sucks! the management is unprofessional, parking is terrible & tennants have occupants residing with them with cars which just adds to the problem...there are always people just hanging outside drinking beer or grilling on the walkways in front of their apartments. lots of younger kids living here so look forward to beer bottles in the walks, and parking lots. you are forced to pay for cable, even if you do not want it (the properties way of helping the cable company fight cable theft while makig some money in the process), what's worse, you only get 40 channels for 40 bucks! no digital, no hd, and you have no idea who to call when you need service.
you also have a water and trash utility bill that the leasing agents purposely forget to mention until move in....again, the property will send you a bill...and their accounting and invoicing is not always exact. you may be invoiced on the 7th one month, and the 24th the next! i really would not suggest moving here to anyone that has graduated college and is looking form more than a frat house! oh, and did i mention, the management sucks! you can always find them in the office during business hours though, usually eating!

I lived at Camden Gardens last summer by myself. I moved there from Nebraska so I didn't know a single person. My neighbors were very nice. I thought Camden Gardens was a very nice place, the grounds were nice and the maintenance was outstanding in my opinion. The staff was more than helpful. That was my experience...

this respondent is obviously management...i urge you, do not move to camden gardens. you will hate your stay...not to mention, if you are african-american and male, make sure that you never disagree with management about any issues. management will call the police on you and report you as a "hostile" person on "their" property, you are no longer a tenant...all of the above is my experience..

I agree. I live here now. And it sucks. I guess it could be worse we could have roaches and rats. But when you pay a decent amount of rent for an apartment you expect certain things. The parking is really bad. There are only 20 or so spots on the side that I stay on. If you get home too late you will have to park by the garbage bin far away. You should be allowed to have guests and there still be parking. This just sucks. The cable situation is horrible. Not only do they make you pay for cable - 40 dollars. It sucks. You only get about 40 english speaking channels and its fuzzy all the time. It is not TW cable, its a brand you've never heard of before. You cannot change it, not get it, or get something else. They are in a binding contract. You may be able to get a satellite for more money if your apartment unit has a clear view of the south sky. Other than that be prepared to watch movies on your dvd. We even called the cable company to see if we could pay to add channels. Of course they did't even HAVE the channels we were missing. It was a joke. Then the Dog poo. It is out of hand!! There are a lot of people here with small dogs. But they are really lazy pet owners. Some have 3 or 4 in one unit. They open the doors and let them run all over the place. They will bark at you and poop all over the side walk. No one cleans this up. It stinks really bad and flys are all over the place. In addition to this...the parking lot is filthy. We complained to management and they sent out a flyer that said make sure your patio is clean! What does that have to do with "Pick up after your dog please?". They specifically told us they would do something about it, but so far nothing has been done. On the way to the stairs we tip toe around the poo. And if its raining you just have to pray. Because I have been a victim of stepping in it twice on those days. Because its harder to see it. At this point we don't wear shoes in the apartment on the carpet. We take them off by the door. The apartment itself is fine. Its cozy and I have it decorated nice. But when you add all the other stuff in, it really makes the quality of living go down. We signed a long lease and are counting the days.

I have lived at Camden Gardens for 3 years and have loved every minute of it, the neighbors are very curtious and the maintenance staff is always on top of things (very few times have I needed them) the office people are some of the nicest people I have ever dealt with, they are really concerned if you have a problem no matter how minor it may be. I would give them an excellent rating, although sometimes parking is difficult if you do arrive late, but other than that I would highly recommend them to anyone. Great going management team!!!!! Me and my fiancee have lived here for about a year, and LOVE this place so much. The staff is friendly, the pool is NICE and maintenance works FAST. The sidewalks are clean, there isnt any dog poop (Ive seen that on other post too about other Camdens, if you ask me, its other apartments giving them bad reviews). We pay - get this, 457 in rent, and 20 for water. If you ask me, there isnt much to complain about. Me and my fiancee are moving though to a two bedroom (having a baby!) And probably going to move to the Addison Camdens right across the parking lot. (Our contract lets us able to move apartments own'd by Camden). All in all, its a WONDERFUL place to live, and yes, I highly recommend people to live here. Its not dumpy, folk are nice, and sure, we have that one crazy lady with 3 dogs (yap yap dogs), but she picks up there dookie.

I lived at Camden Gardens for a little over 2 years and if I ever had to move back to an apartment (I just bought my first home) then I would definitely move back here. Angela in the office was one of the sweetest people and she was always more than helpful as was the rest of the leasing/management staff. The maintenance staff was very friendly and all repairs/requests were completed with in 2 days at the most. The location was great and the neighbors were very friendly. I loved that rent included cable, but I am not one to need more than 40 channels. I always received the water/trash bill the same time every month. Landscaping was clean and manicured. I couldn't possibly give less than a perfect 10. Oh, and if you're thinking it, no I am not a member of the management. I was a tenant.

I visited my old "home" recently and the property is not aging well. For example, the laundry room on the west side of the property is a disaster. Machines are old and dirty. The entry door doesn't close or lock behind you. I've honestly felt safer in a public coin laundry after midnight. Somehow I doubt these last few ultra-positive reviews. Things could have changed. I'm not chancing it!
