I recently moved to TX for graduate school and had a challenging time finding a place to live. Having lived in another state I couldn't make several trips to Dallas to hunt for an apartment. But I did get a couple of opportunities and Camden was the first place I visited. It, however, was not the last. I spent the next 4-6 months trying to find a place to live and began to get really frustrated since I was unfamiliar with the area. I researched tons of different communities on-line and by phone, visited as many as I could and read the comments on apartmentratings.com so often I was sure there was not a single good apartment place to live that didn't cost over $1,000/month. But I kept in touch with Camden because they were the closest to my school and the staff was so great that I could call everyday and they wouldn't get irritated. After several months they were still the only promising apartment complex (mostly because of its proximity to school) so I went ahead and signed the lease. I am extremely happy with my decision. While being minutes from school and downtown (a HUGE plus with the way gas has been) is a huge perk, the Camden employees are what have made this place feel like home. I feel like I bother them all the time, calling them about this, asking questions about that, and it seems almost everyday I have a package to pick up and yet every time they make me feel as though they are happy to see me. The day I moved in I put in a request for a few maintenance requests (the normal new-apartment requests) and the next day the maintenance guy showed up and within an hour had fixed everything I asked for. I rarely hear my neighbors and have never felt unsafe. The apartment itself is perfect for me, the updates they have done make my place feel less like the typical "white-box apartment" and while the price is not as competitive as some of the other complexes in the area the quality, for me, is well worth it. Plus, as a single female, I'll pay more to feel safe and cared for. Well, thats my... 5 cents. Hope it helps! :)

Wait until your car gets broken into or you have to deal with the unsavory people that hang out in the back of the property.
