I was mildly impressed by the looks of the apartment and property. When I actually moved into my apartment, I was blown away by the filth and disgust. The atmosphere around the complex is very unsettling, especially at night. The appliances were working, but that's the only positive thing to say about them. The cabinets had not been cleaned out and the cheap particle board type cabinets flake away all over the place constantly. Someone had spraypainted the inside of the cabinets to cover up who knows what, the walls were beat up and poorly patched, the counter was cut up above the toilet in the bathroom and promised to be fixed before move in. You guessed it. It wasn't. The cut it to accomodate the toilet that had more cracks in it than I'd ever seen. Not possible to make the thing look clean. And then what happens, two weeks later the thing won't stop leaking, gee, we were surprised, and the replaced it luckily. Funny, the one they replaced it with was shorter in height. Had they done that in the first place they wouldn't have had to cut chunks out of the counter, leaving a crappy looking tiny little bathroom. The worst part are the vents which had so much dust/mold and moisture in them that I couldn't even breath at night. I scrubbed and cleaned them and put in the really expensive filters, which barely helped. When I asked them to clean my vents because our health was being compromised, they came in and spray painted them. The maintenance is poor. We asked them to clean the vent from the dryer that went through the walls to the outside of the building because twice it caused us to blow a part to our brand new dryer. The first time he came out and did nothing, the next time he cut the big silver connector, yes, to our brand new dryer...hmmm, left no room for airflow and caused bigger problems. On my maternity leave while I was needing my mothers help, what was she doing, oh, cleaning out the air vents which took her several hours. Thanks to her, it finally got done though!!!! As far as parking goes, if you don't get a spot by 7 or 8, you can forget even parking within a reasonable distance of your apartment. Walking across the dark complex at night is certainly not safe... My husband was threatened by some loser ----- thugs that thought they were tough, when all my husband was doing was walking to the office to drop off the rent really quickly one evening.Considering that right after we moved in we received notice another resident was held up at gun point and robbed at 4 a.m. on his way to his car to go to work. Then a pizza guy was held up. A car was broken into right under our window, my brother saw. The downstairs neighbors almost got broken into. Guys were fighting on our stairs and we couldn't get up them, mind you we had a new born and a 4 year old, our children we don't feel safe with here. I could go on and on... but I'm done now. Lease at your own risk.
