I never had an major issues with bugs, but then, my cat may have taken care of that for me. I do relate to the raising the rent issue. The apartments are very nice looking, and i loved the the little stream that ran through the middle. but after 12 months of living there, they wanted to raise my rent $160!!! it was a @ increase over what i was paying. that was ridiculous. especially for the amount of space. when i brought up my concern, they just said that was what they thought the market could bear. and that's a load. when i went looking for other apartments, i found 13 other apartments with more square footage for less money. most of them, at least 100 square feet more. apparently the safety of the complex has gone down hill quite a bit since i've been there (about 2 years) - i'm glad you are getting out.

The bug issue just recently started this year as the weather has started getting warmer. I'm assuming bugs hybernate through the winter lol. It's been awful! Who wants to live with roaches? They are the worst of them all! The management hasn't offered to move me to a different apartment or to get the exterminators out in a timely mannor, seeing as how they only come out on wednesdays so if I make a complaint on a thursday I have to wait until the following Wednesday for any action. It's ridiculous. I really hate breaking lease but my happiness, sanity and health come first. Roaches carry diseases! I'm so fed up with it all, I'm just ready to be out. September can't come soon enough! I also thought it was ridiculous that they raised the rent 100 dollars! I can't believe they raised yours over 100! As I said and I know you agree, for the amount of space and the quality of their apartments, it is NOT worth the money. I'm glad you got out! I'm glad i'm getting out soon too! lol. I really just wanted to get the word out. I think that the management should be more proactive or should offer to let me out of my lease. I have always paid my rent on time, keep to myself, never cause problems. I'm having to leave because of the problems with the apartment they put me in! It makes me sick to know that they're going to rent that apartment out to some other poor unsuspecting person after I leave.
