First before I even moved in the staff was. . . well lets say dishonest, rude, unprofessional. I should have known better but I was out of state and the apartment I had lined up fell through and I really didn't have time to look.

When I moved into a new apartment that had never been lived in before the walls and base boards had damage, the fixtures and the carpet had paint on them and the toilets were dirty. I moved in the winter then the first hot spell hit and I realized that my A/C didn't work. After 3 visits and it still didn't work I had to be a total B _ _ _ H to get them out here again and they cut 3 very large holes in my bedroom and closet walls and finally fixed the leak. (The holes are still there 3 months later!) I found out that the vents were not installed properly and with every vent closed except the master bedroom and the living room my bedroom is still a sweat factory. If I have a guest sleep over I have to open the vent in the guest room and get no cool air what so ever in my bedroom.

Also, when I viewed the property I was shown the best apartments with the best views. Mine has a view of a junk yard like field that has caught on fire three times! And I don't mean a small fire. I mean several large fire trucks that stayed for hours attempting to make sure the fire was out.

I really wish that this was the end of what I have to say, however it is not: I have lived in apartments since I was 10 years old and now I am in my late 30's. I have lived all over the country and have never had safety issues like I have had here! My door was kicked in, my car has been broken into and my mail box was broken into. I'm not saying don't live here, I'm saying don't live in this area DPD does not care about people that live over here. When I called 911 it took 3 calls and over an hour before they showed up. The detective assigned to my case called me back today. . . I have called him four times a week for the past month. When he called today it was like I had just left him a message 20 minutes prior.

I have to say that Camden did let me out of my lease after the 3rd incident. Their problem (aside from security on golf carts with flash lights) is they don't talk to each other and they delegate and do not follow up. Once I gave my notice they hounded me for rent due and when I called to resolve the issue didn't even know who I was. Everything did get resolved. In total my break in's and move cost me about 10k. Where ever you live get your alarm hooked up and monitored and never have a false sense of security. I know that no home or apartment is ever truly safe however, this area is not safe in any way! Do not live in this apartment complex or this area!
