Pros-
1. Can sign lease online
2. Does short-term leases
3. In downtown so close to everything
Cons-
1. Office Staff is HORRIBLE!!!!! They don't care about their residents and while moving out they continuously try to hose you.
2. There are a lot of homeless people walking around.
3. There has been trouble with cars being broken into. Instead of the apartment complex notifying each resident individually, they tape a piece of paper by the mailboxes giving a notice that the criminal has not been caught yet and to be careful.
4. Apartment I was put in is close to the highway and you can hear the trucks at night. Also, the highway lights glare in onto the walls.

actually, you can't sign your lease online, the office staff is amazing. you just had a bad experience because more than likely you didn't get what you wanted because you didn't read your lease thoroughly. you are in a downtown city, so of course there will be homeless people around, that's true of ANY city. And at least they are nice enough to let you know that something happened. And i would rather thay put the noices in one place for everyone to see versus on everyone's door because for those people who are out of town, it would be obvious because the paper would still be on the door, which would be pretty much free advertisement to a burglar. And what would you expect an apartment next to the highway to be like? Just close the door and you won't worry about the noise. That's actually your fault because the complex is huge and you have a multitude of apartments to pick from and YOU picked the apartment, not Camden.

Original poster, sorry you had to experience this place! They skew the reviews enough to make people think we're just 'disgruntled' past tenants, wrong, we're insulted with their completely unethical business practices. The only disgruntled people are those who work at this Camden Complex. My only hope is others take these reviews seriously. It's sad how many of these positive reviews follow the exact same theme, the staff is 100% perfect and this apartment complex is where they met Jesus with the community. Give me a break! Can you believe the balls they have to say that they 'run all the time and never have any problems as a woman' that's so wrong on so many levels. Honestly if something ever happened to a woman who read these reviews (god forbid) Camden could possibly be held legally liable (due to these idiotic employees) as their network information is being stored by apartmentratings!

i guess i should clarify some of my points.
While you can't physically sign your lease online, these "amazing" camden associates can send you quotes for the size of apartment you want and you can go on their website and hold your apartment. You have to go through an approval process and pay an application fee and possibly a deposit for the apartment. The day you move in is the day you officially sign your lease but the apartment is pretty much yours once you have put it on hold. So... because I couldn't come in town before the move I relied on an "amazing" camden associate to put me in an apartment which happened to be right by the highway. I will have you know that my doors were shut and I could still hear noise. Maybe if the apartment was built better this problem wouldn't exist.
WOW... at least they let me know there was crime! REALLY!? Contrary to popular belief, some of us have jobs and don't check the mail everyday. Posting a normal piece of paper with barely legible font does not constitute a real notification of the crimes. While it is true that homeless people exist in any city and Camden can't control this... they can control the means of which they notify their residents of crimes going on. Maybe putting a flyer in the door isn't the best approach but they could have taken the time to put personal letters in each residents mailbox. I know this takes some effort(which I apparently shouldn't expect) but would actually show that the apartment cares about its residents. I find it ironic that putting flyers in the door would notify people of when you aren't home and this is USUALLY how Camden notifies you of anything that is going on. I went out of town and came back and had 4 flyers in my door. Who is putting these Chinese restaurant menus in my door? It doesn't really convince me that Camden's security system is very safe if anyone can get in... unless Camden is putting the menus in my door??
And for the record... this website is supposed to help notify potential residents of what they are getting themselves into. It doesn't help when Camden management creates usernames to try and make this place sound better than it is. Based on the reviews here... I decided to give Camden a try and i don't think you should. Stay away from this complex!!!!
