I have read many of the reviews on this site from time to time and am so disappointed about the bad reviews, that I feel a Dennis Miller Rant coming on. And NO I am not management. My husband and daughter and I moved into this community in August of '08. I was tired of traveling 45 minutes to work and back each day and wanted to live close to my place of work. I am very glad we moved here. We spent over a year shopping around in all of downtown and by far, Camden wins hands down on many points. This community is well kept and maintained. There are rules about what you can keep on your balcony. Just look at other apartments in the area and see what kind of crap they put on their balconies and just the way they look. When we walk around this complex it is very very nice. There are high-end townhomes north and southwest of the complex (in the $300,000 to $450,000 range) right next to Camden that are well maintained and very pretty. The homeless people you see don't really bother you much. Yes, you have owners letting their pets pee and poop in the wrong places, but how can management monitor 900 plus units' It's up to the residents to report someone if they see it. You will find pet problems and the homeless problem anywhere near downtown Dallas. You just have to accept what all apartment living entails. Camden gave me a fair price for my rent. They have always responded to my maintenance requests in a timely fashion. My dryer broke, and when the first repair didn t work, they just popped in a brand new one. They pick up your trash 5 nights a week, your cable price is built into your rent, they have 2 fitness centers and 3 pools which are very well maintained, and the water bill each month is awesome. They have a special rate with the City of Dallas where you pay a flat rate that is diveyed up between all residents that is used that month -- for my 2 bedroom 2 bath I pay around $27 to $35 a month for water. What more can you people ask for' Am I happy! I think that the people complaining on this review site may be a little spoiled. If you live in an apartment you are going to have noise problems, or noisy neighbors and a host of other things that you accept if you live in an apartment. That's just part of the deal. You don't like apartment living' Buy a house! Good luck with paying your mortgage, homeowner's insurance, property taxes, lawn maintenance, fixing everything that breaks down from your air conditioning to your appliances, and still having problems with neighbors anyway! Get over it people. It's apartment living. You hear airplanes overhead' Whoopdy Doo. So do tens of thousands of homeowners that live around the DFW Airport or Love Field. Cars get broken into' Wow - like that never ever happens in the suburbs. You want to make sure your packages are delivered' Get a PO box or have it sent to work. That s what I do. Let's face it. If you want to live in downtown at a fair price, you have to accept certain things that come with downtown living. I did and am loving it. I get to work in less than 10 minutes, I have saved on gas, wear and tear on my car, someone picks up my trash all the time, and I live in a well maintained community with plenty of amenities. No - it's not all pie in the sky, but they do make an effort to fix problems and respond to requests. I give them credit for the job they do. It s a business like any other business and sometimes things may fall through the crack. Well that s life. After seeing many other apartment complexes in the area, this is THE very best of the lot and I wouldn t hesitate to recommend it to my friends.

Wow, I love how every fake Camden Management review of their own property follows the same theme of bashing anyone who complains about anything regarding the property or the security/safety. Seriously, who says 'I love my water bill', it's a bill, since when do people love bills? Who seriously knows the exact number of pools and fitness centers at their apartment complex? Do you people ever give up making fake reviews? Do I need to start posting fake negative reviews of the property to counteract your unethical business practices?

You call people who expect value for their dollars spoiled. What normal person doesn't want a good value for their dollar? That's called being a good consumer, last time I checked we lived in a capitalistic society, not a socialist state. Why pay for Camden's unsafe location that's only convenient to downtown and nothing else? Why not talk about how you have to drive 10miles to get to any decent shops, grocery stores, hair places, book stores, parks, etc.

Deep Ellum's downturn from the late 90s is a big loss for Camden Property Management (and other businesses in the area). I know Camden's doesn't want to accept the fact that they made a huge mistake building apartment's here. That mistake shouldn't cause burden for possible renters who don't know what they're getting by moving here. If you're considering Camden the best thing you could do is spend a few days in the area at day and night and you'll get a good idea. Then try to find stores/restaurants etc. You'll then understand why this area really isn't that desirable.

People come here for legit reviews and not something out of a fairy tale novel about how great this place is.

So ridiculously over-the-top, the review is unmistakeably from one of the management team.

Thanks, Camden Management, for skewing your ratings. This is such an arrogant review and completely biased.
