I'm moving to Carlisle on the Creek from Western Massachusetts. A friend of mine has lived there for a few months, and we're moving into a two bedroom down the hall from where she currently lives. I wasn't expecting such horrible reviews. Is there anything besides price, and location that can be said that's positive' Were the rats in the apartment' Any advice about what to do for the possible ant/cockroach problem' Qlkxv6lfLuuXn3BrtpO7

You will be fine! I lived there for a year and I really didn't have any BAD problems. Rent was fair, AC was cold and you can paint and decorate to work around the needed updates.

Thanks. I think I'm on the second or third floor. :) I'll pack lots of blankets and bring a fan.

Just make sure to check everything. Do an on-site review of the property with a leasing person and document problems (i.e. carpet stains, cabinets, appliances etc??) so you won't be slapped on the back end with charges that aren't your fault.
As for my stay - it was OK except for waking up in the middle of the night FREEZING because the heat kept going out (a problem they could never fix). The AC did the same thing. After several visits by maintenance they said they couldn't fix it - OH WELL!
It was their way of saying - we don't want to pay to Really fix it - so maybe you should just move out - which we did.
Stay away from the first floor in the first courtyard in the north building. Every time a hard rain came - water would flood the walkway and courtyard. A friend of mine had to have his carpet replaced twice due to flooding.
Enjoy your stay!

I agree with danguiano! Watch your butts with those weaselly manangers--specifcally, Carolyn and Gaynell. They'll give you all sorts of phony-baloney lip service when you move in, but the crap will hit the fan whenever you leave--which, most likely, will be just as soon as your first lease at the hellhole expires. They'll try to nickel-and-dime you to death. I ignored their idiotic BS, and they tried to threaten me with a collection agency. I still ignored them and--eventually--they backed off. I may have gotten a black mark on my Texas Apartment file, but I was never worried. All I had to do was mention that the beef stemmed from the vindictive shrews and harpies at Carlisle and I just got a knowing nod of instant understanding and approval. They looked at my clean record from other Texas complexes and saw that my only complaint was from a run-down dump with a plummeting recommendation rate. (Now at a miserable, shameful 17%!?!? HAW! HAW! HAW!) But DO document EVERYTHING when you move in...no matter how small or insignificant it may seem at the time. And keep a running tab of ALL complaints and problems you encounter there. If not, your failure to do so will turn around and bite you on the ass. Trust me, there are MUCH better places in "Big D" to hang your new Stetson! But you'll discover that soon enough. And if you two lying hags are still at the CotC rental office: I cannot wait to see your recommendation percentage drop into single digits. It couldn't happen to two more conniving, underhanded swindlers!
