On July 29th I moved in. Connie was great with me she let me pick up keys early due to the holiday weekend there were small thing wrong the unit but very clean and nice. I was very happy with everything there are a few things that you do need to be aware of yes the are gun shots, yes there are hookers, yes there is crime but hey this is Dallas, Hello. My car was broken into and that was due to my xm radio in plain view. must of thought it was a gps or something of value, my neighboors had their unit broken in and the office staff told him he had to pay for what they broke. I never had a problem with maintence. My ceiling was leeking on call guy came at 1 in the A.M. to find out it was my upstairs neighbors dishwasher. They fixed it the next day.( had to get a new one) The schools are ok the staff there is great but there is a lot of spanish speaking children from the next complex so it is more for them and not an enlish speaking child born in the usa and speaking english his whole life.There are no busses for the elm. school so you do have to take them and pick them up. the gas station there are drug dealers and whoever but all the illeagal stand right there waiting for someone to pick them up but do whatch out if you stop they will try to jump in your car. water is done by building then by how many people you have in there my bill ran about 25 a month for 2br/2ba 2 people. the staff i never had a problem with they even allow that if you are late on your rent for you will not have to pay for the late fees but this is a one time only deal. they use at&t for phone and cable Grande is the only ones grande's contract will be gone in 2 years. Grande sucks big time and no one likes them. I did find a garden snake in my unit. There is no real playground or gym but my son can go out and play on the hill with all the other children and i can watch him form my living room. The unit is big and plenty of room master bedroom on the other end the unit and i really like that there is a fireplace and bay windows are great. Even after all the crime and everything i still like living here. There are a few things that do need to be worked on but is hard to please 100% of the people 100% of the time and if you find a complex that offers that you are just plain b/s. I will miss it here and if I get a job closer to here I will be back.
