Moved in May 2005. Carpet was steam-cleaned for us upon move-in, nice touch. Had a couple initial maintenance requests, including a leaking dishwasher. The maintenance staff was out the first day, and fixed it.

Unfortunately, that was the last day for the old maintenance staff. Apparently we moved in just as the management company was changing hands.

We had a burner on the stove that did not work and a broken drawer in the kitchen. It took four calls to get it resolved, including several trips where they said they did not see what was wrong. We basically had to draw a diagram for them.

The apartment itself is very high quality, especially for a complex that is over 10 years old. I'm very impressed by the upkeep. Carpet in our place is reasonably high quality, sort of a mini-shag.

I love the design of the apartment. There are three separate levels - the bedrooms are on the top level. Two steps down to the kitchen/dining room, then two more steps down to the living room. The entrance is in the living room, and we have our own indoor staircase to an attached two-car garage, which is EXCELLENT.

As other posters have mentioned, this location is walking distance to Tom Thumb, about ten restaurants, a Bally's Fitness club, L.A. Fitness, Barnes and Noble, and about one mile from all the restaurants in Addison.

The complex itself is about 95% concrete, which isn't the best. My apartment faces the back of Chik-Fil-A (although we're on the third floor, so we can see over it). It's not the ideal location or view, and the parking lot lights are very bright. It's part of the sacrifice you make for convenience, however. All of those things are on the living room side at my apartment, the bedroom faces another apartment and is very quiet.

Overall, the apartment seems to be a very good value so far. I'm hoping to be here four to five years, so hopefully it will continue to be this way!
