A CONSTRUCTION YARD

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2009
This is my third year living in this now horrible place. It was fine the first 2 years, but the daily 7am Lawnmower Parade (yes, the chase is across from the maintenance yard, and at 7am it swings into full action, lawnmowers buzz by your apartment, large trucks backing up an beeping, and maintenance workers hollering with no respect for the fact that SOME OF US, ESPECIALLY STUDENTS, DONT NEED THE 7AM ALARM. Today in fact, at 6:30AM, someone thought it a grand idea to unload two large flatbed trucks full of heavy machinery (bulldozers and other equipment). This involved a lot of backing up (beeping), chain removal and general ruckus. This is not the first time, and I doubt it will be the last. This place has become absolutely hellish to live in, and the management is both uninterested and unresponsive.
Bottom Line: if you have to get up at 7AM every day, then you have an alarm. Sometimes it is tejano music, sometimes screams and shouts, and every other week it is heavy machinery. Enjoy your stay...
On the plus side: maintenance in the village is very responsive.
