I've lived in the Corners for 1 1/2 years in a 1 bedroom plus a den. I would love it here except, I can hear everything that happens in my neighbors' apartments. I'm on the second floor and I can hear the women below me talking. I can hear talking through the shared bedroom wall as well. I hear televisions, stereos, dishwashers, and showers too. I can deal with those things, but it is a bit ludicrous when you can hear the people below you having a conversation. At times there are people screaming outside late at night while having a party. That gets annoying too. Security is not fast acting on quieting the late night yellers. If you are not sensitive to noise the apartments are good for the price. If you like to recycle you will need to look elsewhere. The recycling dumpster will remain full for weeks at a time. You have to be careful on selecting a decent washer and dryer in the laundry center. Sometimes they will eat your money. You may have to walk a decent amount if you get home late at night. You can rent a covered space if you are concerned about parking. The shower heads are very low, be warned. I'm 5'8" and I have to duck. The water will change from hot to scalding to cold. You get used to that too.
The apartments are older, and problems arise. When I've had problems with leaks or anything else maintenance always comes that day or the next (depending on the issue). The apartment was clean when I moved in. The closet space is wonderful (2 walk-ins in my bedroom). The location is really nice. The lawns and shrubs are well kept. For the price in this location I do like them. I just can't take the noise for another leasing term.
Pros: price, size, location, fast maintenance, commercial electricity rates
Cons: noise, recycling, laundry centers, parking, low shower heads

that is a great review. objective as can be. thanks! ill think about looking into them, i can be a noisy kinda gal too. i might like it.
