Ghetto living at a premium price

When my husband and I began to make more money, we "upgraded" to a nice two bedroom at this complex. Unfortunately, we soon realized that the apartments are very poorly maintained - for example, we could NEVER get the shower curtain rod to stay up in either bathroom. Imagine taking a shower and having it fall on you! Also, the place has a "ghetto" atmosphere now with loud neighbors who fight, play blasting music all hours of the day and night, you can smell the pot and cigarette smoke through the vents. DEFINITELY not worth the price, and NOT the seemingly nice place to live that it appears to be. We lived in a more "downscale" Aimco property and never had the noise and problems we have had here. NOT recommended.
