I have lived here, in two different buildings, for over 10 years. Sad to say but true,,just when you get enough saved to get out, economics get you.
I will say they have FINALLY worked on the exterior of the buildings and added more secure lighting.
The interior repairs are not done professionally, more rigged, and a mess is always left to clean up. I do not even have them fix items anymore for this reason. I go to Home Depot and get the items and repair it. It will look properly done, works upon completion and I do not come home to a mess (when I have persons arriving in 30 minutes and have to get food out, alas now clean up after them) I have found half a roll of my paper towels in the trash and residue still on the floor.
It is amazing to me how a person can live here this long and it can take 4 years to get a new refrigerator, questionable if the carpet can be replaced (uhhhh, if I had moved you would have replaced it 5 times over by now...duhh) and the electric bill still remains outrageous with a new thermostat.
The gate finally works, well more often than not now, and the pool is actually cleaned frequently.
The current office staff is nice and they do try to accomodate, but if the regional that was here a couple of years ago is still here,,,,,doubt we will have the urrent staff long.
It would be nice, since the apartment does allow large dogs, if the owners would clean up after their pets. I NEVER walk in the grass since I have had to clean my shoes and my dates, more than once, due to the 'mess' left. Very rude.
The apartment has no ammenities to speak of, no club house, spa, workout room, game area, thus the price is borderline appropiate for the market. NO amenities does not add up to the price charged.
I would recommend it in a pinch while looking/waiting for your true 'home'.

If it is a place to wait for a "true" home - it seems like ten years is a long time to wait.

well you have two lay offs in ten years and health issues that deplete your cash stash for a 'own it yourself and get the equity, tax write off, the American way' and you may have to wait a 'long' time too....best of luck to you!
