Pros and Cons

Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2009
I have lived in the DP&L building for a little over a year now. As with any apartment complex, there are pros and cons. Here's my take on some of the issues listed in previous posts.
Parking - I agree with the previous post about parking. Most of the spots are really tight for large vehicles (I drive a F-150). I have a similar story about almost getting towed when I couldn't fit into my initial assigned spot. I have bonded with my parking space neighbors over our vehicles' war scars. However, management did work with me to change my spot to find one that was easier to get my truck in and out of without hitting a cement pole.
Urine smell - Many of the residents here have pets (I am one of them). Yes, sometimes you walk outside and it does smell like urine. It's downtown and there aren't a ton of grassy places for the animals to go. Maintenence does bleach the door mats and cement in front of the doors probably about once a week.
Noise - I live on the side of the building closest to the AT&T tower, not above the pool or Fuse. I don't think noise is much of an issue. It is downtown after all. However, I have heard from some of my neighbors that the noise can be bad if your apartment is over the pool area. I rarely hear my neighbors.
All of the residents I have met are very friendly. Management does their best to accomodate you. My minor complaint is my A/C. I know this building was converted from an office building, but my A/C is loud. Also, the air flow is pretty strong so if you are in the path of a vent, it can be rather chilly.
