I had just moved to Texas and didn't have alot of money, (poor college student) and thought I was lucky to find such good deal on rent (compared to the other places I had looked) and a good-size/spacious apartment. I lived there almost for a full 6 months. They then went on a rampage of lets just evict everyone in about 2 dwellings. It first started with my neighbors and then it became me. I paid them to leave early and they (Emma and her boss Norma) said there was court papers for me to be evicted and then they told me, with a witness in the office (my mother), since I paid them the early move out fee and months owed(rent), they would drop the eviction and not put it as an eviction, so that I wouldn't have any trouble getting another apartment. Only to my surprise, after I had gotten another apartment and that lease was up 1 1/2 years later and I was ready to move, I paid a deposit to an apartment complex, only for them to tell me, they can't accept me because I have an eviction. I was livid. My step-dad and I went to Everwood, to see the same piece of sht employees, to tell me that I had to pay for damages and a missing refrigerator. Mind you, the refrigerator was there when I left the apartment and I don't what happened afterwards, bc all kinds of stuff happened while living there. Someone, had broke in to my apartment, while living there and I asked the 1 maintenance man to fix the back door (wouldn't lock or stay closed), 4 months later(when I moved out) it still was not fixed. Also, a closet door that was never hinged from the day I moved in never got fixed. I asked numerous times and was told it was next on the list. They held me responsible for an accident another tenant caused with the electricity bc it happened to my apartment. Needless to say I owe this apartment complex a ton of money for their laziness and them not taking action for their responsibilities. I will never, EVER live there again. And I could only hope this really comes back on them. I don't wish bad, but I do hope, they get a taste of the type of environment they have created themselves, for others. Don't call me when you don't have a job or a place to house your family. Good luck Everwood employees!!!
