Move somewhere else...

Someone removed my review so here goes again...

I lived at The Falls for 3 years. In that 3 years I can honestly say things went from decent to absolutely stupid. I think the main reason was the change in the office staff. From very decent courteous fun people to staff who seem courteous and decent but obviously couldn't care less.

First year was great. Not a lot of problems and any maintenance was taken care of. There was a problem with a large dog in the adjacent building but the previous management finally got rid of them. They were trash. I lived on the "quiet side" just east of the office. I paid pet rent and had 1 space which finally became 2. Needless to say I had a great deal on the overall apartment cost due to discounts.

Things changed in the 2nd year when all the students started showing up. Most of my new neighbors stayed up late and drank way to much. Some of them did drugs. Most of them were halfway decent but you could tell that they were not what I would call the most amiable people. At one time I think I was hanging out with a few and one guy was very ancy that maybe I was a cop. Weird.

Towards the end of the 2nd year and beginning of the 3rd we got even more students from the Art Institute. It turned bad.

Things you will deal with. Parties to all hours. I was startled out of bed so many times from people running up and down the stairs, smashing bottles, screaming and yelling, and loud stereos. Glass was every where every morning. Most of the students went to class in the late mornings or afternoons so they partied all night. Someone decided to trash one of my vehicles. The laundry room was broken into. On more then one occasion a drunk student threatened to kick my ass. My wife would not walk outside unless I escorted her out. She would call me when she returned from work or whatever. We made several complaints and were told "It would be taken care of"...which never happened. Parking was horrible but we had covered spots...which randomly would be parked in on rainy days. A friend visiting had his car run into by drunk, stoned gangsters. The last 6 months the security gates never worked due to RESIDENTS breaking them. I asked if they could put up cameras. They said that would be a liability. Good thing nothing really horrible happened to me or my wife because I would have sued there pants off.

I spent a good week trying to get out of our lease but they wouldn't budge without over $2000 in charges. After one frightening evening of having my neighbors...all but one of was a student...try to tear down the place...yes they did...we decided to run away. I bought a house and we took off. I have never had an experience like that before.

The simple fact is if you really want to risk everything then go for it. Personally I would shop around more and look towards the 'burbs.

Because of LPC and The Falls...I have ruined credit...way too many bills from moving...a damaged vehicle...damaged furniture (from trying to move quickly and quietly)...and most of all...a total disgust for these people and the way they treated us. The Falls is a dorm and nothing else now. Don't expect any help with your problems from management. I spent over 10 years in LPC apartments...I have learned that they only want your money and not your problems which they create by allowing these things to happen. P0MtU6TIdDkM23RTonAS
