Don't Even Think About It

Do the research and ask questions before moving into this place. These apartments are not, I repeat: NOT in a safe neighborhood. I'd even feel awkward living in the nice apartments across Markville. I understand that it's the city and the suburbs are probably safer, but if the place HAS to be patrolled by cops (who really could care less... I'm not kidding), there's something wrong. The gates are a joke. Theyre always broken and anyone can get in or out with or without a vehicle very easily. On the OFF chance that the gates are working, just wait a few minutes and someone will let you in. Great for those looking to vandalize, rob and steal! Never fear, potential vandal - the cops are usually parked somewhere in the back of the complex taking a nap or reading the paper.

If you're looking for a nice quiet place to live and relax after a hard day on the grindstone, this is most definitely not the place to do so. Rent at The Falls is fairly inexpensive by Dallas standards, so you can pretty much bet that undesirable tenants are peppered throughout the complex along with the Art Institute kids (who I never experienced any problems with, but I understand others have). Nevertheless, along with the aforementioned "undesirables" are their precious offspring running amuck in and out of the breeze ways on a nice Sunday morning, banging on the floors and walls and shouting as loud as their little lungs will allow while you enjoy your cup of coffee and muffin. Gosh, I just loved those little angels... It's even BETTER when they would bounce their basketballs in the breeze way or better yet - on my CAR! Happened to me almost monthly - at least I knew my car alarm worked. They seemed to enjoy the sound of my car alarm too because they loved to bounce that ball on the hood of my car over and over each time I would turn off my alarm and reset it. I was glad to make them happy, though. Besides, a decent paint job on something that you worked hard to pay for is totally overrated and frankly quite selfish to try to maintain. Think about the kids, people!

The staff is pretty ok, though and I mean that. They're good people. Maintenance has always been satisfactory - no complaints there either. Break-ins, though... now THAT'S another story. Evidently there was some guy hopping in and out of apartments and taking anything that could be taken... during the day... with the cop around... and maintenance employees riding around on carts... for three months. I don't know. Maybe I expected too much, but a little security beef up would have been nice. A cop driving around the complex is sweet and all, but do you think it's too much to ask to have the guy walk around the inner property too' Last I checked, there were units in there as well.

Oh yeah... Gun fights - That's all I'm saying.

Inside and out, the place is about what you'd expect for the price that you pay, but if you're looking to save money (like I was while I was there), then bite the bullet (no pun intended) and move out to the 'burbs. I never felt so unsafe and concerned about my personal belongings as I did at The Falls and I had renter's insurance.

Bottom line - Dont do it. There are better, SAFER places with comparable rates elsewhere. Just ask yourself: "Is location more important than the safety of yourself, your property or your sanity'" I didn't think so either...

Sounds like you have had numerous misunderstandings and have not spoken up when you should have. If you are cool children listen, and neighbors respect your privacy. If you are not friendly and do not take a chance to get to know your community than many misunderstandings will occur. I am sorry but I do not understand your pronoun usage. When you use "them", and "they", who are you reffering to? Maybe a diverse open minded community is not for you.

Maybe by "them" and "they," this reviewer is referring to the "criminals" that live here and in this area. Cityofdallas.com allows you to browse an interactive crime map... this complex is the worst I ever saw! The statistics don't lie, but the management does.

If you are not going to entertain your little "angels" inside.. then have an abortion. The rest of us don't want to hear, see them running around vandalizing other people's property. Keep your thug kids inside unless you are going to be standing there watching them.
