If you are looking for a safe place for your kid to stay while going to the art institute I sugest you look elsewhere. My son was assaulted & robbed in view of the office. there were 2 guys one of which had distinguishing tatoos on arms. they stoled a laptop that was valued at $3000. there are no cameras at the apartments. no security the locked gates are never locked people can comne & go as they please. I have witnessed this first hand. the back gate is always open to whomever may choose to stake out the property at any given time. when confronted with the question about security you are told the manager is in a meeting & will call you back but thAT NEVER HAPPENS. I am still waiting on the manager to call me back. also for school sponsored housing the security is lacking in all aspects. If a tragedy happens with a student of the art institute who pays $25000 a year to attend don't expect the school to help monetarily in any way. Maybe someone from the school could request an incident report from dallas pd instead of waiting for the victim who by the way has never dealt with anthing like this before.
don't look to the police to do anything either. I would think if they knew what apartments the guys frequented & whose car they broke in previously that they could pinpoint them down. but instead they want to say it is a black male age 20 to 25 years of age & that could be anyone. Let's just forget about the distinguishing tatoos & the apartment that they have been known to frequent & the fact that someone saw them jump the fence. are these kids really safe' the answer is no. but who pays for thier safety that is advertised by the apartment complex & school' It is definitly the kids who are put in jeapordy
