I lived at the Falls whilst attending the Art Institute. One word of advice' Literally'

Don't.

The first couple months were fine, granted, they may have only been fine because I had a haze over my eyes of finally moving out of my parent's house and moving into a one bedroom apartment of my own. My apartment was furnished, which was a nice thing, yet as time moved on, things started going downhill. First off, the security didn't do much at all except for take up three parking spots by the mail room, sitting in one spot for no telling how long. Appearance wise, the apartments were lacking. The paint was constantly coming off of front doors. My door was painted three or four times all within a couple months until I stopped even trying to fix the problem. I moved in in August, and nothing major happened to my apartment until around March, in which all Hell basically broke loose. My air conditioner stopped working, and no matter how many times maintanence would finally get around to swinging by to put Freon (without my knowledge) in it, it would never work. I walked in on maintanence helping themselves to drinks from my fridge, when they were working on my sink that leaked into the bottom cabinets, which overflowed into my kitchen. My ice machine never worked (not that big of a deal), but my fridge started making a loud shrieking noise, and maintanence told me to call back if the problem persisted. A week later, they still wouldn't come fix it. So now, I have an apartment with NO air conditioning in the Texas heat, a flooded cabinet that they never repaired, and a fridge screaming at me. Think that's it' Oh no. There were ants crawling down from the ceiling, into the back of the freezer. I don't blame the fridge. I'd scream too. I never left food out, and I'm a clean person. I have no clue where the ants were coming from, but maintanence, once again, told me to call back if the problem persisted. ...which it did. Finally throwing my hands up in defeat, I decided to sleep on my balcony until the ants and heat from my apartment were gone. After two nights of doing that, I decided against it when I saw two girls who lived in my building get INTO it, slashing and pushing each other, pulling hair, and threatening each other's lives. It was all fun and games until the other pulled a knife out, in which the other ran away. I called security, but couldn't get ahold of anyone. The next morning, I woke up, walked to my bathroom, and stepped in inches of water. The bath above me had leaked or overflowed, and I was now suffering from it.

Needless to say, I moved out in April. I had a friend who had a nice two bedroom apartment and he never had problems, but from everyone else I knew who lived in the Falls' They couldn't wait to get out. Yes, it's Dallas, so I'm not expecting all it's apartments to be luxurious and "let your kid out to play" safe, yet for the money you're paying' One expects a little bit more confidence in the place they live in, and a lot less ants.

Question: What did you do or say when you found them in your drinks? I would have poisoned them so if they did it again... I lived in Reflections once upon a time and had the same problem with missing groceries.
